FOR ALMOST EIGHT DECADES, Griffith Observatory has been an internationally recognized icon of public astronomy for Los Angeles and the world. It hosts nearly one million visitors each year and admission and parking are always free. The signature School Field Trip program that serves 26,000 fifth-grade students each year is free. So are the best views of the Los Angeles basin and the Hollywood sign.

Join Friends Of The Observatory for a night of viewing through the historic 60-inch Hale Telescope at Mt. Wilson (weather permitting) - the largest telescope in the world made routinely available for public viewing.

 

We will travel by bus at 7:00 p.m. and return at approximately 2:00 a.m.
