Behind the Scenes: Light of the Valkyries

Have you seen Griffith Observatory's newest planetarium show Light of the Valkyries? If not (or even if you have) come see it with your fellow FOTO members! As always, FOTO members will have an added bonus--the ability to
see the show and hear how it was created straight from the Observatory staff involved.

The Light of the Valkyries planetarium show explores the mythological explanations for the awe-inspiring colors and shapes in the sky in the northern climes--and then brings us to our current scientific thinking behind the aurora

Join us on July 19, 2010, for a behind-the-scenes interactive discussion with the creators of our fantastic new Light of the Valkyries show. Hear the stories behind the artistic goals, technical challenges, and creative development. You will see this show in a whole new light.
